The Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section of the State Bar of Michigan is proud to recognize and congratulate our Council Member, Melvenna Fant-Jones, M.A., C.P., C.S.A.T., D.V.T., on being named the recipient of the prestigious ATHENA Leadership Award.

Melvenna exemplifies each of these qualities through her tireless advocacy, servant leadership, and unwavering dedication to uplifting others.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Women Healing Eternally and Transforming (WHEAT), Melvenna has dedicated her life to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, homelessness, and other forms of trauma. Through her leadership, thousands of individuals and families have received critical resources, advocacy, support, and hope.
Beyond her remarkable community impact, Melvenna has been a valued member of our Council, contributing her knowledge, insight, and passion for service to strengthen the Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section and the legal profession as a whole. Her commitment to leadership, mentorship, and advocacy continues to inspire those around her.
