Act 138 of 2024 has gone into effect. What does that mean? Defendants that have financial hardships can now do Community Service to offset the costs of a traffic ticket. This will likely mean an influx of public service to the community.
Our District Court needs service options. We primarily use Manna on Main Street, but if there are any other organizations in the area interested in offering Community Service please contact the District Court at [email protected] with your organizations information and contact person and we will add you to the list of organizations offering service to defendants who want to help in lieu of payment.

As part of the MLK Day of service Judge Levine volunteered to be a judge for the Montgomery County High School Mock Trial Competition. Comptetion rules preclude the Judge from knowing what schools were represented, but rest assured both teams did an amazing job in a difficult hypothetical medical malpractice case.

Founders Day is this Saturday (August 23rd) throughout Lansdale Borough. The District Court will have an Open House from 1:30 to 3:30pm and Judge Levine will be doing arraignments for the entire county live at 2:30pm! This is your chance to learn about the arraignment process, see what happens during arraignments, hear arguments, and then comment constructively on social media. Also, Coltrane the Court Dog will be there (of course).
We are across from the Pennbrook Train Station, just a stop away from the Lansdale station. There is also plenty of parking and air conditioning if it gets hot out there.
Looking forward to seeing lots of people.
