Big win for the Litigation Team. Attorney Mark Himsworth secured an arbitration victory for a supplier after a general contractor refused to pay for materials delivered to a Pennsylvania construction project.

The general contractor argued that it did not have to pay unless the project owner first paid it under a “pay-if-paid” provision. The arbitrator rejected that defense and awarded our client more than $127,000, including the unpaid balance, CASPA interest, attorneys’ fees, and arbitration costs.

When you click “I agree” on an app, are you really agreeing to everything—including arbitration?

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court didn’t answer that question in Chilutti v. Uber. But it did decide something important: you may have to go through arbitration before you can challenge it in court.

Learn more about what the decision means in practice:

In Chilutti v. Uber , the Pennsylvania Supreme Court made it harder to immediately challenge orders sending cases to arbitration—while leaving bigger questions about online agreements unresolved. By Brittany Ann Kane In Chilutti v. Uber Technologies, Inc. , the Pennsylvania Supreme Court answ
