PorchLight, A Family Justice Center PorchLight is a Family Justice Center. The center is centrally located in Jefferson County, Colorado. At PorchLight, you are not alone.

One location where survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and other forms of abuse can access a wide array of supportive services all for free, and without appointment. We are open from 8:30AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday

Lifting Victims' Voices in Jefferson and Gilpin Counties​

PorchLight Family Justice Center (FJC) provides comprehensive legal, emotional and critical supportive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, abuse of at-risk individuals, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The FJC is a safe, caring environment that provides one-stop services and support. Key local government agencies, law enforcement, community, social and legal service providers, and District Attorney's Offices are located on-site at the FJC to make it easier for victims and survivors to get help. We strive to offer our community a kind-hearted, victim-centered home where victims, survivors, and their children come first as they work through the healing process. Our mission is to bring together essential services for victims, survivors and their children to create a positive pathway forward, and to foster public safety. Today you may see an abundance of people wearing purple- well, at least we hope you do! On "Wear Purple Day," we wear our best purple to stand in solidarity with survivors and victims of intimate partner violence. When we wear purple, it says we see you. We believe you. And we are here if you need us.

PorchLight is committed to ensuring our guests have a path to safety and that they leave our Center wrapped in services with a new spark of hope burning.

We are open for walk-in services Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:30. Services are free and confidential for all our guests.

Today, PorchLight was proud to be a part of the First Judicial District Domestic Violence Coordinating Council and help our community partners put on a luncheon to honor the service of those working to help survivors and recognize law enforcement officers who have made a difference in our community this year. With an important talk by Ralston House Executive Director Tricia Riffle, and a wonderful emcee in CBS news' Karen Morfitt, it was a stirring reminder about why the work we do is so important. Thank you to First Judicial DA's Office of Colorado for hosting this event and to all our partners who helped bring this day to life!

There are nights to remember, and then there are nights we will never forget. For all of us here at PorchLight, our Be the Light Benefit was a night we are honored to say we will never forget. You really showed up for survivors, and each and every one of you made it a shining, beautiful night. 💜

Because of you, children will continue to be able to just be kids, and play in our childcare center while their parents get life-changing services to help them through trauma. Because of you, our skilled Navigators can keep meeting our Guests where they are, connecting them to partners and programs all at one time, in one place, increasing their likelihood of finding safety and a pathway forward. You are helping the lights in our building stay on so that the therapists we have on-site can continue providing healing counseling for our guests, and so that all the partners in our building have a space to work, ensuring their critical skills and specialties are utilized for the healing of those we serve. Your support did this. And we couldn't be more grateful.

Awareness is powerful. Action is how we create change. 💜

Today, PorchLight kicked off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a meaningful walk to the Denver City and County Building alongside our friends at the , survivors, families of those lost to violence, community agencies, and leaders including the Denver DA, Attorney General Phil Weiser, and Denver’s Chief of Police.

October is a time to shine a light on domestic violence, honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and recommit to building safer communities.

But the work doesn’t end when October does.

This month, we invite you to stand with survivors, learn, listen, share resources, and donate. Together, we can remind survivors that they are not alone and help create a community where everyone has the opportunity to live free from violence.

Today, PorchLight would like to take a moment to recognize National Day of Remembrance for Homicide Victims; the lives that have been lost, the families who carry the memories and the hurt, and those who work tirelessly to find justice for those who have been harmed by these senseless acts.
This is why we do this work. We know that behind every headline is a real person with dreams, with plans, with goals. We are working to get those numbers as low as possible by wrapping every guest who walks through our doors with services and helping them get safe. PorchLight and our community partners remain steadfast in our commitment to building a place for safety, hope, and healing.
