Last Thursday was our client appreciation crawfish boil. Got a little sun, loud Cajun music and clients from 20 years and more. Ben Archer’s team made some great jambalaya and loved the size of the crawfish! It is also the 29th year I have been practicing law in Lake Travis. I started with Ken Vanway in 1998 but I went out on my own in 2004 with the help of 2 very good friends (Joanne and Michelle you know who you are) and it quickly became a small boutique law firm doing our best to help our clients with estate planning, guardianships, probate and their businesses and asset protection. Today I am thankful for the clients who have come to the crawfish boil to celebrate and for the over 4000 clients we have served in these many years.
This event is also a Lake Travis Chamber event and as an early member of the Chamber – the group has been a valuable resource and support for this firm since I got to Austin. I appreciate the entire Chamber – then and now!
Of course, I also have to thank my partners, Mike Carroll, Hazel Sanchez, William Harlow and Zachary Kamykowski for making coming to the office an intellectual challenge and something to look forward to. But I wouldn’t come to the office if it weren’t for Meagan Coleman, Allison Mora and Sarah Peneguy who are the foundation of and keep the wheels in our office turning.
But mostly we have to thank the clients who have trusted us with their family’s most important projects. Many of you have become close friends, a few riding buddies and some close enough to call “almost family.” We love and appreciate you all!
