My favorite thing about practicing family law is the excitement every day brings…the emergency motions, opposing counsels who refuse to coordinate hearings, clients who make appointments and forget to show, threats from opposing counsel to unilaterally set mediation if not responded to within 20 minutes, financial affidavits that show $1000 for miscellaneous expenses, judges who demand orders drafted over the weekend, unrepresented parties using Chat GPT.

I miss my iced coffee lattes. 🤦🏻‍♀️😩🤬

If that “threat” was meant to scare me, it doesn’t. It’s cute because I remember when I thought every threat needed a courtroom announcement too.

If it was meant to scare my client, it doesn’t. Experience has taught me to prepare my client for every scenario and we’ve already discussed best and worse day in court.

We are prepared. Are you?

Blunt. Honest. Tomato. Tomato.

If you are going through a divorce, custody battle, or fighting for alimony, you want straight forward, no holds barred, brutal honesty during the consultation.

You do not want best case scenario, tip toeing half truths, smoke blown up your **s because the law doesn’t sugar coat and judges don’t personally care about your daily life.

You want the harsh reality told to you from day one because if things turn out all roses and sunshine, yea!! But if they turn out worse than you were ADVISED, you only have one person to blame.
