Why aren’t they on DND or blocked? Kids?! Ok. I get it but…

Did they tell you that you weren’t getting alimony? What do they know. They don’t know the law. They’re just trying to intimidate you. Duh!!

Did they say that you have to move out of the marital home before the sale? WTF?!? Says who? I haven’t seen any court order? They’re just blowing smoke.

Did they say that you’ll lose custody and never see your kids again?! 🙄😂Come on, now. You are a good parent and Florida assumes it should be 50/50. Nobody losing their kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stop listening to someone who clearly doesn’t know the law, who is trying to intimidate you, and is full on sh*t.

Call a local family attorney in your area and hear the truth. If you’re in central Florida, call me. And put your EX on Do Not Disturb!!

Shared parental responsibility means discussing medical and educational decisions (and other major decisions) with your coparent to reach to a mutually agreed upon decision that is in the best interests of the child.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not.

When it does not, you’re supposed to go back to court and argue your position for the judge to make a determination.

Don’t lose your voice in this argument!! You know your child!! Whether it’s a disagreement about ADHD medication or ear piercing or an IEP or private school tuition, if it’s important to your child’s wellbeing, stand up.

If you don’t set boundaries now, you’re going to have a hard time with kid exchanges, sharing responsibility of decisions made, costs for everything kid related, and so much more.

Boundaries are your lines. Not your EX to observe. You can’t control them but you can control your reactions.

Show your kid that you can rise above the petty bulls*+t and show them happy. Kids gravitate towards stability, routine, and security. Give it time. Focus on your straight line and they will see the predictable you and want that daily.

Remember…you’ve got this! 💪♥️
