When you have a small room with no combustion air vents, three gas-burning appliances, and a dryer installed right next to the water heater, the dryer can pull a significant amount of air from the room and create negative pressure. In these situations, backdrafting at the water heater becomes very likely because air is pulled back down the flue to satisfy the dryer's air demand. I'm sure most of us already knew this, though. Sorry for wasting your time.

500 gallon propane tank is too close to the house. It should be at least 10 feet away for safety. Problem is this one sits on a steep hillside so moving it is not going to be simple.

This is one of those things that may never cause an issue while you live there, but it can come back to bite you when it is time to sell and a buyer wants it corrected. Should have been done right the first time.

Drain pipes are not allowed to have a reduction in size in the direction that the water is flowing with only one exception and that is the toilet bend. However when there is a reduction at the toilet bend there can’t be an internal ledge inside the fitting that could increase the chance of blockages. I would argue that this PVC fitting does have an internal ledge.

As soon as I got out of my truck this is the first defect I noticed. All the exterior wall penetrations are not properly installed and are missing mounting blocks. If I had to guess I bet this is a defect that gets looked over properly 95% of the time but is required on many homes.
