Barbara VanTine began practicing law in 1988 following her graduation with honors from Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana. A native of central Illinois, she initially started her own firm there before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1998.

f folks in this area, my family vacationed at the Lake for many years before deciding to move here permanently. For me, the Lake has proven to be a wonderful place to conduct business, as well as to raise my two daughters,” she says. “I truly enjoy my career and my clients. I’m a fortunate person to be able to earn a living doing something that I feel so passionate about.”

VanTine’s practice is primarily concentrated in Family Law, Criminal Defense and Estate Planning.

“I pride myself on being a very approachable and understanding person” she states. “Let’s face it, most of the people I deal with have sought an attorney because there’s a crisis going on in their life – an arrest, the breakup of a marriage, or a death, for example. They need to know that they will not only receive quality legal assistance, but also that they will be treated with compassion and respect. My goal with each individual client is to guide them through an often unfamiliar and very frightening process with comfort and success.”

The Law Office of Barbara VanTine is located in the Cliffside Centre in Lake Ozark. VanTine is supported by highly skilled paralegals; Heather Shrout, who has over 30 years of legal experience, and Jese Brody, who has over 20 years of legal experience.

For me, practicing law at the Lake isn’t solely about winning in the courtroom. It is about serving my neighbors and preserving this community which we all love.
