As our community has been heavily impacted by Hurricane Laura, our thoughts and prayers are with all. As we begin to rebuild our city, please be advised that our office will be closed until further notice. If you are a client from a different parish than Calcasieu, we will provide you with updates regarding any pending court dates as we receive such information. Courthouses in Calcasieu and Beauregard parish are currently closed, so any pending court dates will be rescheduled. Vernon Parish is scheduled to reopen September 5, 2020. Once we receive an update on court appearances, we will contact our clients directly. Due to the lack of electricity in our area, our phone lines are down; however, our clients can reach us via email or through the MyCase portal. As we receive more information, we will update you!

Clients and prospective clients:

Our office will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week as a result of the impending storms that are likely to affect our area in the upcoming days. Any appointments that are scheduled for this week will be rescheduled. If you have not yet received a call to reschedule, please contact our office at 337-221-3028.

Clients and prospective clients:
With the recent spike in Coronavirus cases in our area and in an effort to limit the amount of foot traffic in the office, we will be returning to our previously implemented office procedures regarding safety protocol. Effective immediately, all in person meetings and conferences will be halted unless otherwise discussed or planned by one of the attorneys. We welcome meetings via zoom or by phone for present and prospective clients. As always, we can be reached in the following ways: (1) by phone at the office as normal hours will resume; (2) via email; and (3) via the MyCase portal for our current clients. Should any changes be made to your court appearances, our office will contact you to discuss.

In observation of Easter, our office is closed today. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 13, 2020. At this time, we are still taking precautions and not open to the public but will be available by phone, email, or the MyCase portal for clients. On behalf of Holmes LA Law, LLC, we would like to express to our clients that we are carefully monitoring the status of the area as it relates to updates from the CDC, the Governor's office, and Courthouses concerning efforts to regulate COVID-19. At the present time, it is the intent of our office to remain open during normal business hours in an effort to keep all of our clients informed. However, as a precaution, we are halting all in-person meetings absent emergency situations. We will be available through the following means: (1) telephone, where we will welcome phone consultations, (2) email; and (3) our MyCase portal for all current clients. As we receive updates regarding your pending court dates, our office will contact you with instructions through one of three options listed. Currently, the 14th Judicial District Court in Calcasieu Parish will not conduct court hearings next week, March 23 to March 26, 2020. If you are scheduled for court next week and have not yet heard from our office regarding your court date, please feel free to contact the office. Also, court hearings in the 36th Judicial Court in Beauregard Parish have been continued without date at this time. Building a legacy

Bobby and LaKetha met during law school and married in 2009. In that same year, the two returned to DeRidder to begin their legal careers. LaKetha became the first Law Clerk for the Beauregard Parish District Court working for both Judges Martha A. O’Neal and C. Kerry Anderson. Bobby in turn began a Law Clerk position with the Vernon Parish District Court.

Their legal careers have been spent both in criminal court as Assistant District Attorneys, but also as Children’s Attorneys working as advocates in the foster care arena. Their greatest joy has been in their ability to raise a family in Beauregard Parish and nurture their close family and community ties.

Both Bobby and Laketha endeavor to create a memorable connection with each client. The goal of HFLG is to ensure that your legal needs are served with the highest level of care.
