Election season is a good reminder: the people we choose matter. But so do the rights we all keep no matter who wins.
Georgia is in the middle of a major election year, with statewide races, legislative seats, judicial races, and local offices all part of the 2026 cycle. Today, May 19, 2026, is Georgia’s primary election day.
That matters.
But here is something else that matters:
Your rights do not depend on whether you are popular.
Your rights do not disappear because you made a mistake.
Your rights do not belong only to people with money, influence, or a perfect record.
The justice system should be serious.
Accountability matters.
Public safety matters.
Victims matter.
Due process matters too.
That is one of the things election season should remind us of: laws, courts, prosecutors, judges, sheriffs, and local officials are not abstract ideas. They affect real people, real families, and real futures.
At Moffitt Law, we represent people when the legal system suddenly becomes personal — after an arrest, after a DUI charge, after a wreck, or when life takes a turn they did not expect.
No matter what is happening politically, our work stays the same:
Help people understand the process.
Protect their rights.
Tell them the truth.
Help them take the next right step.
Elections matter. Rights matter every day.
Moffitt Law helps the injured and the accused across Georgia.
