The 2026 Champions of Justice Awards Breakfast is almost here! Join us Friday, October 30, at 7:00 AM at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette as we recognize the volunteer attorneys supporting the Lafayette Bar Foundation’s pro bono programs.

Louisiana Supreme Court Justice Cade Cole will deliver the keynote address, and we’d love to see our Lafayette Bar Association and Foundation members there to celebrate their fellow attorneys.

Meet our incoming 2026–2027 section presidents!

Ross F. Roubion, incoming President of the Young Lawyers Section, is a dedicated trial lawyer with a passion for advocacy and a commitment to making sure his clients’ stories are heard. With 10 years of experience as a defense attorney before transitioning to plaintiff’s work, Ross brings valuable experience and a strong dedication to the legal profession.

Brittany LaCombe, incoming President of the Family Law Section, is passionate about family law, child welfare, and advocating for her clients. A UL Lafayette graduate, she earned her Juris Doctor magna cm laude from Southern University Law Center in 2022.

We’re excited to welcome both leaders into their new roles!

And just like that, we’ve kicked off candidate forum season! Friday’s 15th Judicial District Candidate Forum was a SUCCESS, and our community showed up!

We had an incredible turnout for a discussion that was educational, dynamic, interactive, and genuinely entertaining. Thank you to everyone who joined us, asked questions, listened in, and helped make this such a great event.

We’re just getting started! Next week, we’re bringing the conversation to the Lafayette City Court Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 15, from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lafayette Bar Association.
