Moisture intrusion is the number one enemy of a happy house. Summer is the perfect time to get out the ladder and make sure your gutters are clear of debris and flowing properly. Use a garden trowel to scoop out leaf build up and then flush the gutters with a hose (a perfect time to check for leaks!). If your gutters are too high make sure to to call a professional for help! Also, check your downspouts and downspout extensions for proper alignment and flow. We recommend downspout extensions of 5-6 feet to help keep water away from your foundation.
