Frazier Law

Frazier Law We exist to eliminate anxiety, fear, and confusion in the world, one client at a time. We help business owners and entrepreneurs avoid or resolve I.R.S.

We first help our clients understand their estate planning or tax concerns and then we guide them to solutions and peace of mind. or Tennessee Dept. of Revenue tax problems. We also help families find peace of mind by creating thoughtful plans to protect and preserve their assets while disabled or incapacitated and then pass their real and personal property to those they love at death. New clients

often tell us that they chose our firm for one of several reasons: (1) We’ve got good Google reviews, (2) Charles worked at the IRS, (3) He is a U.S. Army service-connected disabled Veteran, or (4) because they were referred by a former client who told the potential new client that we are good at what we do.

Many attorneys who practice estate planning on a high level also have a good understanding of tax law. Frazier Law has expertise in both subjects, and our principal attorney has multiple credentials in both fields. He also has extensive practical experience ranging from being a former IRS agent to being one of very few estate planning law specialists in Tennessee.

Our team is perfectly positioned to help our clients navigate some of the complex matters that may arise in both subjects – for example, gift tax versus inheritance tax – and how to best apply the relevant laws to their specific situations.

We’re honored to serve clients nationwide for tax matters, and we assist clients in Michigan, Tennessee and Texas with estate planning matters.

The personal loss of a loved one is very difficult. It is made even worse when family members who are left behind are required to settle their loved one’s estate in open court.

Frazier Law assists its clients to employ legal strategies that help them avoid a lengthy, expensive, public and time-consuming probate process by proactively establishing estate plans.

Every year, individuals and business owners receive an IRS notice and immediately assume the situation is more serious than it actually is. The reality is that many IRS tax balances – particularly smaller ones – can be resolved calmly and methodically once the situation is properly evaluated. Tax problems become more manageable when addressed early and thoughtfully. However, delaying may eliminate some options. This blog from the Frazier team explains various topics about dealing with a balance with the IRS, including: addressing the issue in a timely manner, communicating with IRS, and understanding collection thresholds. https://www.crfrazierlaw.com/blog/when-an-irs-balance-is-more-manageable-than-you-think/

Did you know that everyone already has a will? The question is whether it’s a personalized will that you planned for, or is it the State’s default will. When a person dies without a valid estate plan, the State of Tennessee or the State of Michigan does not leave property in limbo. Each state applies its own intestacy statute – a legislatively written default plan that determines who inherits what, and in what proportions. In that sense, every resident already has a backup plan on the books. The difficulty is that the legislature’s plan was designed to be administrable, not personal. This blog from the team at Frazier Law goes into detail about what to do if you want to “opt out” of the State’s default estate plan for you. https://www.frazier.law/blog/everyone-already-has-a-will/
