While this video is obviously a joke, there’s actually a very important reason why I encourage buyers to get pre-approved before scheduling showings.
A pre-approval helps:
• Establish a realistic budget and narrow your home search
• Set expectations on monthly payments, taxes, insurance, and overall affordability
• Ensure you’re looking at homes that fit your financial goals
• Make you a qualified, serious buyer when it’s time to submit an offer
• Allow you to move quickly in today’s competitive market where many homes receive offers within days—or even hours
• Give your lender an opportunity to review different loan options and run payment scenarios so you’re comfortable before making one of the biggest purchases of your life
The last thing I want is for a buyer to fall in love with a home only to find out later that financing doesn’t align with their goals or budget.
Getting pre-approved doesn’t commit you to buying a home, it simply gives you the information and confidence needed to make smart decisions when the right home comes along.
Thinking about buying? Let’s connect and get you pointed in the right direction.
