It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of justice, awareness, and continued progress. Juneteenth is a day to pause, remember, and honor freedom.

📚 On This Saturday: Brown v. Board of Education (1954)
On May 17, 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a unanimous decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, declaring that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional.
This landmark ruling overturned Plessy v. Ferguson (1896) and ended the legal doctrine of “separate but equal.” It was a pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement and affirmed that segregation violated the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.

🧑🏽‍⚖️ “In the field of public education, the doctrine of ‘separate but equal’ has no place.” — Chief Justice Earl Warren
