Get the developer's estimated completion date in writing! You don't want to be reluctant to get in as you felt you were supposed to.

Remember These Points

Before you move in, make sure to check the property. The concept of a final walkthrough is popular in used homes, but it is often ignored in newly built homes.

During building, take a stroll through every now and then. Check it out with a builder or a mate who knows a thing or two about solid craftsmanship if at all necessary. This will ensure that there are no unpleasant surprises in the future due to shoddy construction.

Over everything, use your real estate agent to guide you around the pitfalls of purchasing a newly built house. Regardless of when it was designed, the right agent can assist you in finding the ideal house.
