Paralegal of the Year Award:
The Paralegal Association of Wisconsin, Inc. is excited to recognize an outstanding paralegal or legal assistant for their dedication and contributions to the legal profession and their community. Each year, we honor one exceptional individual with our Paralegal of the Year award, celebrating their professionalism, hard work, and meaningful impact.
We invite you to nominate a deserving paralegal or legal assistant who exemplifies excellence in their role. Both paralegals and legal assistants who perform substantial paralegal work are eligible! The award will be presented at our Annual Seminar on May 15, 2026, at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI, which will be held both in person and virtually.
To submit a nomination, please send an email containing the nominee's name and a little bit about the individual to Brittany Eder at [email protected] no later than April 13, 2026. Membership in our association is not required for nominees, but we encourage you to support and engage with our professional community.
Please feel free to share this nomination announcement with colleagues and other qualified paralegals who may not currently be members, so we can ensure broad participation and recognize outstanding professionals across our community.
We look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating excellence in the paralegal profession!

Lifetime Achievement Award:
Each year, PAW recognizes paralegals who perform substantial paralegal level work—regardless of job title—and who have made meaningful contributions to PAW and the paralegal profession. Nominees must be current PAW members and must have significantly supported the association and/or the profession throughout their careers.
Employers, both past and present, are encouraged to participate in the nomination process by providing supporting information. While the award recipient is not required to attend the Annual Seminar, they are welcome to join us for the ceremony, and employers are also invited to attend.
PAW's 2026 Annual Seminar will be held on May 15, 2026, at the Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells, WI. You can also register to attend virtually if you are unable to attend in person.
To nominate a paralegal for the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT award, please complete the below form and submit it to Brittany Eder at [email protected] on or before April 13, 2026.

Clayton has spent more than a decade in the lien resolution and healthcare recovery space, resolving thousands of lien and subrogation matters nationwide. His work has eliminated or reduced hundreds of millions of dollars in asserted recoveries, ensuring injury victims keep more of their settlement and that attorneys avoid costly compliance pitfalls. He has extensive experience handling every category of healthcare lien, subrogation, and reimbursement claims, including ERISA and FEHBA plans, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Tricare, Workers’ Compensation, Disability Plans, Hospital Liens, and medical provider balances. Clayton began his career on the ground floor as a Subrogation Analyst, eventually becoming a Subrogation & Litigation Attorney for the nation’s largest post-payment healthcare recovery vendor. There, he advised benefit plans, managed complex recovery litigation, and negotiated thousands of reimbursement claims. Since transitioning to the plaintiff’s side in 2019, he has leveraged that insider knowledge to advocate for injury victims and partner firms, strategically reducing lien burdens and maximizing net recovery. Today, Clayton speaks and teaches across the country – delivering CLEs, presentations, and training to help attorneys navigate the increasingly complex world of subrogation and lien resolution.
