🚨FORT HOOD TRAINING NOTICE

Fort Hood will conduct essential training with a Mine Clearing Line Charge on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

The training will involve loud noises and temporary closures of several roads and training areas.

During the exercise:
• East Range Road from Mile Marker 9 to Triple A Road will be closed.
• Tank trails in Training Areas 16, 20, 22 and 23 will also be closed.
• Road guards will be posted at critical access points.

Fort Hood personnel and visitors should stay clear of the affected areas during the training window.

Residents on and around Fort Hood should expect increased noise while the training is underway. Officials say the exercise is carefully planned to maintain Soldier readiness while minimizing disruptions to the surrounding community.
