The Bell County Bar Association is incredibly honored to receive the 2026 Deborah G. Hankinson Access to Justice Award (Division I) from the Texas Access to Justice Commission! This award recognizes our commitment to expanding access to justice and serving our community.

As the Past President, I am proud to accept this award on behalf of our amazing members, volunteers, and community partners.

A special thank you to our incredible Executive Director, Cindi Parker, for her outstanding leadership and dedication to us all, and to Kendra—my right and left hand—for her unwavering dedication and countless hours behind the scenes. This recognition would not have been possible without you!

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, we had the honor of hosting the Veterans Legal Clinic, and the Bell County Bar Association is truly grateful to everyone who made it possible. Thank you to the attorneys who generously volunteered their time, and a special thank you to Judge Faulkner of the 478th District Court for welcoming us into his courtroom.

We’re deeply appreciative of the opportunity to give back and support the men and women who served our country. ⚖️❤️🤍💙⚖️

Service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.

This afternoon, members of the Bell County Bar Association volunteered their time at a free Veterans Legal Clinic here at the courthouse in the 478th District Court. Their willingness to serve those who have served reflects the very best of our legal community.

For many veterans, a short legal consultation can prevent a small issue from becoming a larger obstacle. Today was about access, stability, and support.

Proud of this group. Grateful for their professionalism. And thankful for the veterans who continue to inspire us.
