🍎 Apple's Surprise Photobomb! 📸
I try not to take pictures of children & clients without permission, but this little guy? “He's always jumping in front of my camera!” While always trying to avoid taking his picture, Apple 🍎will say” Take my Picture”
Today was HILARIOUS. 🤣
The listing agent looked at my clients and asked: "Are you going to take your daughter home with your son?" 👧👦
I looked up & giggled. 😄
Apple 🍎 was playing on the porch, jumping up and down like any little boy with lots of energy💨 would!
So, I Lifted One Foot at a time with a Big Soft Step & called out: "Apple!” “Look Soft Stepping!" 🕺
He paused mid-jump. 🤔
Then I showed him my🐝moves: moving softly side to side, back-and-forth with little dance steps. 💃✨
Apple slowly made his stomps slow down. His big jumps turned into the quietest little dance barely picking his feet off the ground, swaying to soft music🎵🎶 in the air. We Were Soft Swaying… with Laughter…

🐝 A Delightful Discovery: Speaking Tubes & Victorian CharmThe Moment That Made Us Both Smile🙂
I was showing a client through a stunning Victorian Home🏡 when something Magical 🦄happened.
The Victorian Secret
He was exploring the third floor while I wandered the first floor, mentally noting the original hardwood and crown molding.
Then He Heard, Breaker One Nine, Breaker One Nine…
He rushed to the wall and found the brass opening, ornate and tarnished with age. Without hesitation, he leaned in.
"His voice crackled through the pipe, like a ghost from the past. “Come Back Smokey”
We giggled with laughter….A Speaking Tube!
A Piece of History
These ingenious “Speaking Tubes” (or voice pipes) were the intercom systems of the Victorian era…popular from the 1850s through the 1890s. Made of brass, copper, or vulcanized rubber and installed inside walls, they allowed families in multi-story homes🏡 to communicate without climbing stairs.
Pre-electric. Pre-technology. Pure innovation.
This Moment Mattered
That discovery transformed a routine walkthrough into a memory. My client didn't just see a house🏡 that day—he connected with its history. He imagined families using those tubes over 150 years ago. He felt the charm of an era when simple engineering was remarkable.

Roosters in Litchfield County & Fairfield County Towns.
My personal experience with owning a Rooster. Herman! The Best Rooster 🐓 Ever! Friendly, Father, Leader & Protector. When a Hawk 🦅 squeezed himself into the chicken 🐣 run, Herman rushed all the hens in and took on the Hawk, I arrived as the Hawk was On Top Of Herman taking his life…It was Traumatizing…Throwing my car 🚗 in park, pulling my sweatshirt off I rushed in so fast I caught the Hawk 🦅 off guard. Swooped him up & put them in an empty rabbit 🐰 hutch…He was frozen in shock! sharp, curved Talons frozen in the air pointing at me, his wings spread against the interior of the Rabbit Hut, I was frozen in WTF just happened? Did I kill the Hawk, do I have to bring the Hawk to a rehab center, did I break his wings, is Herman dead? What do I do now? To 🐝 continued....

My story is about why Roosters are Good for the Hens, it doesn’t comment on the Cock-a-doodle-doo is not so friendly on the ears…
Roosters are not born to follow a clock or trained to crow at daylight or have a set number of times they crow per day, on average, a rooster may crow 15 or more times per day. Which is not pleasant on the ears.
There are No-crow or "Cock-a-do-doo" collars that reduce the volume of a rooster's crow, not to choke them. It’s a soft, velcro-band placed at the base of the neck, when the rooster starts to crow it restricts the rooster’s expansion of the air sac needed for a full-powered, loud Cock-a-doodle-doo instead the sound becomes a eh, eh, eh, ehh..

Zoning Regulations very by Town. One Town may allow Roosters & Pigs, Others may not...Condos & HOA's most likely Not...There is a min. acreage per Horse, Cow, Donkey, Chickens, etc..Distance from property lines...

🐝 The GOOD
Let's start with the magic! There's nothing quite like stepping into a beautifully maintained home with soaring ceilings, hardwood floors that gleam like glass, and a kitchen that makes you want to cook a five-course meal. Add a Charming Covered Bridge Nearby? These are the Homes 🏡 that make you Believe in Fairy Tales & Make Clients Weep Happy Tears. These are the ones that sell themselves!
😅The BAD
Then there's the "unexplainable." Like the car…yes, an actual CAR 🚗 …half buried in the front yard. Not in the driveway. Not parked neatly on the street. But literally “half-submerged” in the earth like some modern art installation gone wrong. When I ask, So... what's the story here? No explanation. Just a Car🚗. Half buried. In the yard.
👹The UGLY
And then... there's the “Old Monster Furnace. 🔥 This ancient beast has seen better days—like, better DECADES. It's rusty, it's loud, it sounds like a dragon waking up from a thousand-year nap. It's held together by duct tape, prayers, and sheer spite. Inspectors take one look and their eyes go wide. "When was this installed?" "Um... 1967?" "It's a MIRACLE it still works!" 😱
