It has been a busy and successful month at ARK Law! 1 not guilty verdict after trial last week. 2 cases dismissed by the prosecutors before trial (one of which was a VERY long time coming). 1 decision by a detective not to file charges. And 2 clients who resolved their cases, one with a credit for time served plea of 6 months down from a serious violent class A felony. I love getting the right results for my clients by telling their stories and forcing the prosecutors to be reasonable.

It has been a busy few months at ARK Law!

In July my client received a Not Guilty verdict in a jury trial on an Unlawful Possession of a Firearm in the First Degree case in Pierce County. The entire jury selection and trial process occurred in person.

Then in September my client received a Not Guilty verdict from a 12 person jury in an Assault in the Fourth Degree with Sexual Motivation case in King County. That was after the prosecutor dismissed the Class B felony s*x offense prior to trial that was also charged in the same case. We selected the jury over zoom and then held the trial in person. COVID procedures from Court to Court have been so interesting!

Then I just received notice that the prosecutor is dismissing three domestic violence charges that were set for trial next week. That client is finally not going to be victimized by her ex husband and can stand up to him in their Family Law case!

This work is so rewarding and has been so interesting since COVID!

Finally getting some results for clients now that courts are starting to function again after COVID. Got a DUI client the resolution we've been seeking for a year and a half... got a juvenile client an amazing deal that will allow him to be out for the birth of his first child in the fall... got a lovely lady electronic home detention and much less serious charges when she was facing a strike offense and more than two years in prison... and just received notice that another client's serious strike offense domestic violence charge will be dismissed tomorrow morning! It has been a good week at ARK Law!
