We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to become a part of our team! We have a busy office and do a great deal of trial work and mediations. This job is NOT for the faint of heart and we need someone serious who can step in and be the missing team member we need! You will provide overall support to attorneys' client and business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Manage case files from open to close
• Conduct research to support legal proceedings
• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
• Prepare and organize discovery requests and responses
• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
• Manage our calendar and work closely with the court and other attorneys
• Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Record and store client information
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
• Familiarity with legal research
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Fearless

Our office will be working, as best we can, remotely. Although the formal court order only has closures extended through Monday, we are anticipating with the loss of power that the court will be issuing an order that hearings are continued by order of the court until further notice. Our office made over a MILLION DOLLARS in donations today to three non-profits on behalf of our clients' estate! Thank you, DDA, for choosing us to see your wishes through! It was tears of joy to your chosen charities and tears of honor from me! I know you were watching with pride as your hard earned funds will be used for such amazing purposes (animal rights/protection and Make A Wish of Louisiana)! I'll cherish this memory for my entire life! Rest In Peace, DDA, knowing your will has been carried out entirely.
