Good Friday is a sacred day for me as a Christian.
A day we remember the weight of the cross.

Growing up, Good Friday is always a solemn and quiet day…we did not eat meat or anything that bleeds on this day…
As a quiet sacrifice… a way to pause and remember that Jesus gave everything.

Because this was the day it all looked lost.
The day Jesus felt abandoned.
The day it seemed like darkness had won.

But what looked like the end… was not the end.

God was working.
In the silence. In the pain. In the uncertainty.

And that is the reminder I hold on to in life.

There are moments that feel hopeless.
Moments that don’t make sense.
Moments that look like everything is falling apart.

But God is never absent.
He is always working… even when we cannot see it.

Good Friday teaches me to trust Him anyway.

Because what looked like defeat on that… became the greatest victory.
this part humbles me the most…

Who am I… that He was mindful of me?

That as He took the beating… He thought of me.
As they spat on Him… He thought of us.
As one of His own betrayed Him for 30 pieces of silver… the price of a slave… the lowest value for human life….He still chose to stay.

He chose the cross.
He chose the pain.
He chose love.

And even in that moment… He trusted that God had a plan.

Because of this, we are filled with great Hope… the hope of resurrection… that we will see our loved once again.. that death of our beloved isn’t the end.

So if life feels overwhelming right now… hold on.
If you miss your loved one… you will see them again.
Even our earthly bodies are slowly dying… we have the hope of resurrection.

God always has a plan.

And I trust Him!

Yes it is a Good Friday! And I look forward to Resurrection day!

This one felt like a real win… not just because we got the land, but because of the process… the learning curve..the hurdles cleared

My client who was referred to me by my dear friend came in with a clear assignment
“I need land for commercial use, this is my budget, and I need good access to major roads.”

Sounds simple… it wasn’t 😄

We were all over Houston
Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, Rosenberg… Rosharon… you name it

And my client wasn’t naturally the “let me learn everything” type
but I don’t do blind transactions… so I made them learn

Every step, we talked through
what makes sense
what doesn’t
what to watch out for

Then we finally landed in Brookshire… and that’s when the real work started

We uncovered an easement from the 1950s.. dug into city archives for its validity and activities..
Worked through title cure of multiple lot combinations
Handled replatting… still in progress
And I pushed for a topographical survey, not just regular boundary

Then came negotiations…

I negotiated so much, my client was like
“are we about to lose this deal.. please let’s not go lower?” 😄

But this was one of those deals where you can push

We got it down almost 40 percent from original list price..

But the real win?

My client didn’t just buy land
They now understand what they own
how it can be used
and what it takes to move forward with the city and county

That’s always the goal for me

Not just closing… but clarity

And after all that driving across Houston… Brookshire was the one 😄

Back On The Market Again!
We don’t always talk about the messy side of real estate. In a market where it’s tough to even get homes under contract, this gorgeous non cookie cutter beauty has actually been fortunate with multiple interests and has even gone under contract twice within weeks

The first buyer backed out for their job situation. We went back on the market and quickly secured another offer, but underwriting uncovered missed rent payments and that deal fell apart too.
(PSA: if you’re planning to buy soon, keep those last 12 months of rent payments clean!)

These are unfortunate situations of timing, life shifts, and buyer readiness.

Here is hoping the third time is the charm!

Sunrise ☀️

Every time I wake up, one of my favorite things to see is the sunrise. When my spirit feels heavy and dark clouds start gathering around my thoughts, the sunrise just does something to me. It has a way of reminding me of God’s unfailing love. Each morning. Each bit of light. Even when the sun is hiding behind thick clouds, that little glow still pushes through to remind me of His goodness.

Most days, when I drive out in the morning and I am already bracing myself for the day, the calls, the noise, the responsibilities, and it all starts to feel overwhelming before it even begins, the sunrise is the thing that slows me down. I love that view. I love the way it caresses my face. The way the sky opens up for a moment, almost like God saying, start here, start with Me.

And sometimes as i feel the gloom descend, I find myself waiting for that light even more. Even on the cloudy days, the sun still tries to break through. It feels like God reminding me that He is still here, still steady, still faithful.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Isaiah 40:29
