When a buyer wants the PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) removed right after purchasing a home, it means they’re trying to eliminate the extra insurance cost that protects the lender (not the buyer) in case of default.

⏳ Automatic Termination: PMI drops off automatically at 78% LTV (per federal law).
