Just in case, you actually wanted to know which branch of our government has jurisdiction over tariffs thought you might want to know this ….
Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution grants Congress explicit, primary authority to "lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises" and to regulate foreign commerce, establishing that tariffs are a legislative power. While Congress has delegated limited authority to the President through statutes like the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 and IEEPA, the foundational power to impose tariffs resides with Congress.
