Congratulations to our partner, Preston Drobeck, for being named Pro Bono Champion after he was nominated by the wonderful Hon. W. Brian Gaddy of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

Preston has volunteered with VAP since 2015, taking on new cases every single year. The cases that Preston has taken on are often the toughest ones, representing clients who've survived physical, emotional, and financial abuse. His recent cases have involved clients locked out of their homes, stripped of their vehicles, and left with garnished paychecks after walking away from abusive situations.

Preston doesn't shy away from hard cases — he leans in.

In his own words: "It is a privilege to serve people who are going through difficult life circumstances as part of my everyday career, but there are so many people in our city who can't afford legal services."

We're so proud to call Preston a partner and even prouder of the impact he's had on our community. Congratulations, Preston, this recognition is well earned!
