LEGAL ASSISTANT

Our Law Firm located in downtown Kansas City, MO is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team. This full time position will be responsible for assisting clients over the phone and in person while providing clerical support to attorneys.

Responsibilities include: Communicate with clients in person, over the phone, and via email; draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents; perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling documentation; create and maintain case files; screen, and direct incoming calls.

Job requirements and qualifications include: proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), excellent time management & communication skills, must be organized and work well in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. Must also have the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. Light lifting may be involved.
