I'm thrilled to invite you to V Lindsay's 4th Annual Back to School Bash, proudly sponsored by The Law Office of Stephen R. Williams, LLC, with generous support from Twelfth Street Heritage. Join us on July 20 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at 3310 Garfield Ave, KCK 66104.

This year's Back to School Brunch theme promises an incredible food experience, along with backpacks filled with school supplies, bounce houses, games, prizes, a silent auction, vendors, and an Adult Spelling Bee.

Your participation, whether through volunteering, donating, or vending, will make a tangible difference in the lives of our youth and means a lot to me as this yearly Bash marks the anniversary of me launching my firm. Here's to another year of zealously representing clients and making the world a better place.

On Mother’s Day, Shannon and I had the privilege of attending the AdventHealth 400 NASCAR Race. This was our first race experience. It was like a concert, taste of Chicago, and Super Bowl rolled up into one.

One major takeaway was the importance of teamwork in high-pressure environments. We observed a pit crew swiftly assessing and resolving a fueling issue without wasting time assigning blame—an exemplary display of efficiency and collaboration. Another standout moment that hit closer to home was when a staff member proactively determined my plan to use a friend’s credentials to take in the pit experience wasn’t a viable option because my friend would need his credentials back in 30 mins. She quickly expressed her concerns, resolved the situation by finding another staff member’s credentials and all was well. This may seem minor but it's not common that a younger staff member has the confidence to tell a guest and executive their plan is bad and she has a better idea.

As an employment lawyer, I appreciate organizations that prioritize teamwork over titles.

Today I'm presenting closing arguments for a client wrongly terminated after a workplace injury. He was fired for taking days off due to pain, with the employer falsely claiming he didn't request medical help. Employment Law 101
