How can I find an affordable attorney?
Finding an affordable attorney is tough... I get it.
But there are more options than a big retainer attorney out there.
You just need to know where to look and what type of representation fits your needs.
I have a DIY Divorce Online Course- DIY Divorce Secrets- to help you file your uncontested divorce without messing up the paperwork, causing the Judge to tell you to get an attorney, or causing WWIII with your Spouse- all for about the cost of one hour of attorney time.
Here is something you need to know about DIY Divorce-
Yes, the free Missouri divorce forms are out there, but you might need a little help if...
1. Either Party owns real estate (even if you purchased it before your marriage);
2. The Parties have a minor child together (even f the child was born before the marriage);
3. A child was born AFTER the marriage who is not the Spouse's child;
4. If you want to split ONE of the retirement accounts.
If you fit into any of these categories, you will need an attorney to do PART of your divorce. This is called Limited Scope Representation. You will need an attorney to do your Judgment.
You can also get a "Packet Review" and have an attorney go over your completed free forms to make sure you don't goof up your paperwork and get it rejected by the Court or the Judge telling you that you need an attorney.
If you don't want to mess around with figuring out the DIY Divorce, you can also so my Quick Start where we break the case into pieces to make it more affordable. We even have a payment plan so you shouldn't have any problems with your fees.
