Is it my imagination, or are more people and groups filing more lawsuits than ever before. It seems like more arguments and disagreements are being heard by the courts instead of being resolved between the parties. It seems even our political parties and entities they regulate, are turning to the courts to overturn laws that are passed; void actions taken against members within each party; or, rescind bills legislators enact if they are perceived to negatively impact a company or group in any way. What do you think?

Do you know the difference between an independent insurance agent, and a captured agent? An independent insurance agent sells insurance on behalf of several different insurance companies. A captured insurance agent sells insurance for only one company. Examples of a captured agent are agents that sell State Farm, Allstate, or Progressive insurance. A captured insurance agent is legally considered an agent for the insurance company not for you, the customer. An independent agent is legally considered an agent for the customer.

With the recent changes to Michigan’s no-fault law, I strongly suggest that when you buy insurance you do it through an insurance agent and not over the Internet. A qualified insurance agent can assist you in making sure you are buying the coverage that you actually need.

Don’t believe what Cure insurance is saying in its ads. Keep your unlimited lifetime medical on your auto insurance. It’s much more valuable than any savings Cure advertises.
