Thank you to everyone who has supported Lone Pine in their multi-year fight with developer D.R. Horton. Riviera Beach City Council members recently voted 4-1 against a zoning change that would convert the Lone Pine Golf Course into another housing development. As it stands, the space must remain green!

Thank you to the Council Members and the Planning & Zoning Board of the City of Riviera Beach for truly listening to the voices of your good citizens.

Riviera Beach City Council members voted 4-1 against the zoning change, pleasing residents who live near the former golf course but leaving open the question of what will become of the 63.6-acre site.

The Riviera Beach Planning and Zoning Board voted against the redevelopment of the Lone Pine Golf Course tonight 5-0, and will not recommend approval of the development to City Council. The residents of Lone Pine and Riviera Beach were out in full force and I am very proud of everyone involved. However, the fight is not over.

The largest home developer in the United States has made an application with the City of Riviera Beach to dig up and develop the Lone Pine Golf Club into a large, residential community. The Lone Pine Golf Club sits across the Rapids Water Park on Military Trail and is the only public driving range and golf course in the entire City of Riviera Beach. Lone Pine is one of the very few affordable golf courses remaining in Palm Beach County, and it has served not only as a gateway to golf for many young and aspiring golfers in the area, but also as a refuge to local wildlife that have suffered from the affects of encroachment since the 1970’s. Attorney Grogan represents Lone Pine Estates, a community of 354 homes that surround the golf course. Mr. Grogan and his clients are against this planned development and believe it will have a negative impact on the community and local environment. Brennan Grogan is the founder and owner of Brennan Grogan, P.A., d/b/a Florida Association Attorneys.

Since 2009, Mr. Grogan has represented community associations in all community law matters, including insurance issues, statutory and document interpretations, collections, foreclosures, bankruptcy, covenant enforcement, document amendments, and contract disputes.

Mr. Grogan has significant litigation, appellate and DBPR arbitration experience and has represented associations, individuals, and companies throughout Florida in both state and federal court.

Attorney Grogan is licensed in all Florida State Courts, the US Southern District Court of Florida, the Middle District Court of Florida, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Grogan is the Chairman of the Palm Beach County Bar’s Community Association Law CLE Committee and was selected by Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star" in the field of Business Litigation for the past 6 consecutive years.

Attorney Grogan was born in Rota, Spain, and speaks conversational Spanish. He lives in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife, Attorney Brooke Grogan and their three children. His grandfather, Dr. Robert Grogan, was the first doctor in Jupiter-Tequesta. In his spare time he coaches youth baseball and is a member of The Benjamin School's Alumni Association where he was elected as Secretary for the 2020-2021 school year. He played college baseball at the University of Notre Dame and the University of North Florida, where he played in the NCAA College World Series and was elected with his team into the UNF Athletic Hall of Fame. He obtained his law degree from the FIU College of Law in Miami, Florida.
