Little Rock Ordered to Stop Ban on Concealed Carry in City Buildings After Lawsuit determining the band violates well established Arkansas state law.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. β€” A judge has ruled that the City of Little Rock’s policy banning concealed handguns from city-owned buildings including City Hall located at 500 W. Markham St. While the city has announced plans to appeal the decision, it must stop enforcing the ban immediately.

The Origins of the Dispute:
The legal battle began in 2022 when Robert Steinbuch, a professor at the Bowen School of Law, noticed signs posted outside city-owned properties. The signage stated that Only Law Enforcement Personnel were permitted to carry handguns on the premises.

"We saw this sign up that said nobody is allowed in with fi****ms," Steinbuch said. "Including, critically, those that have the enhanced concealed carry license."

Believing the restriction was a direct violation of state law, Steinbuch and another attorney initiated legal action. The basis for the lawsuit was established when the other attorney named, Chris Corbitt, attempted to enter City Hall. Corbett informed a security guard that he possessed an enhanced concealed carry license and asked for permission to enter with his firearm. He was denied entry.

A Delayed Ruling
According to Steinbuch, the case experienced significant delays. Believing that Judge Timothy Fox was hesitant to make a ruling, Steinbuch filed a motion with the Arkansas Supreme Court to request a new judge. Steinbuch credits this filing as the catalyst that prompted Judge Fox to finally issue a decision last Friday.

"He issued the order in which we won," Steinbuch stated. "So four years later, on a matter that could have been decided three-and-a-half years earlier, finally, we got a decision."

What the Decision Means
Judge Fox's ruling firmly aligned with Steinbuch on two primary points:

Violation of Law: The city's current policy contradicts the Arkansas code.

Immediate Cessation: The city must immediately halt the enforcement of its firearm ban.

While Steinbuch noted he has not yet verified how the city intends to comply with the order, he emphasized that changes are legally required. "Are they taking down those signs? They must," he said. "Are they letting people into city hall with enhanced concealed carry licenses? They must."

The City of Little Rock has declined to comment on its specific plans for implementing the judge's ruling as of 2 days ago.

The Arkansas disorderly conduct statue states "obscene language" not foul language or dirty words!
Obscene language according to the Law Dictionary is Sexual harassment talk, fighting words, racial slurs, ECT...

How are you going to Enforce the Law when you don't even know it?!?

Dash cam video of Arkansas State Trooper Chris Weatherly:

To start off, I will say that I think this Trooper was trying to get the geese off the road so they didn't back up traffic and cause a major accident.

There are many people in the comment sections of all the news articles saying that it was an "accident" and that Trooper Weatherly did not mean to actually strike me geese with his cruiser.
Well The trooper was parked on the left side of the shoulder. He then drove straight toward the geese. When he got up on them he swerved in a motion what appears to be the direction the geese were running, then he gassed it, and ran one over. If you rewatch the video, I think you'll see what I'm talking about.
The lady who recorded this first viral video alleges that the trooper put it in reverse and tried to or backed up over the other geesling. Again shown in the video.

Then again he drove at an adult goose causing it to have to jump out of the way of being hit as well.
Now The trooper is facing severe public scrutiny because of his actions.

Some are claiming the trooper committed a federal offense. Others are saying, at the least, this is cruelty to animals.

What do you think of his actions?

If you done the same thing to prevent major backup on the interstate and there was video proof, how do you think the state would handle that?

According to video circulating on social media, an Arkansas State Trooper appears to run over a family of geese, striking a baby goose in the process.

On July 25, 2025, Arkansas State Senator Reginald "Reggie" Murdock (who represents Senate District 9) was pulled over by Saint Francis County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Thorne for allegedly speeding at 80 mph in a 55-mph zone.
Deputy Thorne stopped Senator Murdock in his personal vehicle on a rural stretch of highway. While the deputy was printing off a citation, Murdock called Saint Francis County Sheriff Bobby May.
Sheriff May then talked to Deputy Thorne and you can hear the deputy telling the sheriff that, "he's been pulled over a hundred times".
Then the deputy tells the sheriff, "I'll write him a warning."
After a record request for this traffic stop was turned in, no warning was ever released or provided.
Ultimately, the citation that was issued to Murdock was voided out.
According to a Google search, Deputy Thorne later reported to investigators that he felt pressured by the Sheriff's involvement, though he maintained the initial stop was by-the-book. This sequence of events, and body worn camera releases, prompted public scrutiny and discussions regarding local law enforcement conduct and favoritism.

What do you think about this traffic stop?!?

Is this the good ole boy system protecting each other?!?

Should a law enforcement officer be required to void a ticket that was lawfully written just because they're superiors feel differently?!?

Is this a "Rules For Thee,
But Not For Me" type situation?!?
