Erica’s journey to becoming an attorney is anything but ordinary. Before law school, she spent years serving our community in correctional services, child support enforcement, and as a victim/witness coordinator—experiences that gave her a deep understanding of the people behind every case. She then graduated cm laude from Appalachian School of Law, passed the Tennessee Bar Examination, and today officially begins the next chapter of her career as an attorney. New Tennessee Law: Organized Retail Crime

Tennessee is strengthening its laws against organized retail theft. The new law targets coordinated retail theft schemes and expands the types of conduct that can result in criminal charges.

It also creates tougher penalties for offenders who commit retail theft while carrying a fi***rm, am******on, or certain fi***rm accessories—including a mandatory minimum of 30 days in jail in some cases.
