Probate isn’t always the problem… But the mistakes around it can be. 😬

Here are 4 we see all the time:

✍🏼 Not having a will AT ALL
This leaves everything up to state law, not your wishes.

📤 Assuming everything will “just transfer”
Not all assets avoid probate, and many people are surprised by what actually ends up there.

👤 Outdated or missing beneficiary designations
Old accounts can send money to the wrong person or create unnecessary complications.

⚖️ Letting everything go through probate unnecessarily
With the right planning, many assets can pass more efficiently and privately.

These small oversights can turn into delays, added costs, and stress for your family.

A little planning now can make the process much smoother later. 🙌🏼

You don’t see kids outside as much these days, but it feels like we spent most of our time out there growing up.☀️🌳

Riding bikes, playing games, staying out until the streetlights came on.

What’s an outdoor activity from back then that still makes you feel like a kid at heart? 😊

We’re about 99% sure the Medicaid application process was designed by someone who really, really loves riddles. 😅

It’s a world of "look-back periods," "asset ceilings," and terminology that sounds like it was pulled from a medieval tax code.

Honestly, it feels like the confusion is the main feature of Medicaid Planning.

If you’ve spent five minutes looking at the rules and felt like you needed to become a rocket scientist just to understand the footnotes, you aren't alone. 🤝🏼 It feels like it’s specifically designed to make you want to give up.

The good news? We speak fluent "Medicaid." 👋🏼

👉 Reach out to our team today, we’re here to help make it make sense.

Barbecues and family time are what make these weekends special, but today we pause to remember the "why." 🇺🇸✨

Let’s take a moment between the festivities to honor those who sacrificed everything for us to be able to enjoy these freedoms and traditions.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from our team. ♥️

A will is important. ✅

But on its own, it’s usually not enough. 😅

A will still goes through probate, doesn’t help if you become incapacitated, and doesn’t control everything you own.

REAL estate planning looks at the full picture, your assets, your healthcare decisions, and how to make things easier for your family when it matters most. 🏡

A will is a piece of the plan. Just not the whole plan.

Graduation season is here, and it’s a time full of big decisions and new beginnings. 🎓

We’re in the business of planning ahead and making thoughtful choices, so it feels like the perfect time to share a little wisdom.

What’s one piece of advice you’d pass along to today’s graduates? 🌟

It's impressive that your vacation itinerary is broken down by the hour, but your Estate Plan is currently "we’ll see what happens." 👀 😂

We totally get it. Dreaming about beaches is way more fun than thinking about a Will or a Trust. 🏖️

But if you've spent three months on dinner reservations and only five minutes on who looks after your kids (or gets your house), the balance is off.

The good news? This is a totally fixable problem.

Reach out to our team BEFORE you go on vacation! Let’s make sure you’re as prepared as your vacay is.

The "I’m healthy" excuse is the most common reason people skip a Power of Attorney.

However, being healthy is actually the only time you can create one. 🤦🏻

Think of it like a life jacket. 🛟 You don't wait for the storm to hit or the boat to tip before you put it on. You wear it while the water is calm so you are protected if things get rough. 🛶

It’s for the moments when something unexpected happens and decisions need to be made quickly.

Without it, your family may have to go to court just to help with basic things like paying bills or talking to doctors.

Planning while you’re healthy means you stay in control, even if life throws a curveball.

Don’t wait for the storm. ⛈️ The best time to set it up is before you ever need it.

Estate planning is often viewed as just a way to pass down your assets. While that is important, the real goal is much bigger.

It is about avoiding chaos ❌ for the people you love.

When there is no clear roadmap, even a small emergency can turn into a legal and emotional firestorm.

Without a plan, your family might be forced into a public and expensive court process just to manage your affairs. This breeds confusion, fuels arguments, and wastes the assets you worked so hard to build.

Planning is an act of kindness. It clears the hurdles and smooths the path so your family can focus on supporting each other rather than guessing your intentions. 🤝

You are not just leaving them your stuff. You are leaving them the gift of clarity.

Is your plan a map or a maze? 🗺️✨ Let’s make sure your legacy is one of peace.
