In today’s climate, especially during election season, misinformation can quickly spread online and often serves as a tool for political attacks. Recently, our client, Jordan Bowen, has been the target of widely circulated false accusations.

Multiple media outlets and online social media platforms have inaccurately identified Ms. Bowen as the individual seen in a video reportedly involved in an altercation with a child at a recent rally for Vice President Kamala Harris. We affirm that Ms. Bowen had no involvement in this incident and is not the person shown in the video.

The defamatory misidentification of Ms. Bowen spread quickly across various media channels and social media platforms and has resulted in baseless threats to her safety, undue distress, and substantial harm to her reputation. This irresponsible reporting and unverified dissemination of false information is not only damaging but has created unwarranted and harmful consequences for an innocent individual.

We call upon all media entities and social media platforms that have shared this misinformation to issue prompt and prominent retractions clarifying that Ms. Bowen is not connected to the incident in question. Ensuring that factual information is shared is crucial in preventing further damage to Ms. Bowen’s safety and standing.

Ms. Bowen reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies to address the harm caused by the exponential spread of misinformation, but remains hopeful that a fair and responsible resolution can be achieved.
