The 2026 Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy of the Year: Deputy Connie Sarvis

The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office proudly recognizes the 2026 Deputy of the Year Deputy Connie Sarvis for her outstanding service to the community. Deputy Sarvis has been instrumental in coordinating and expanding the Sheriff’s Office’s involvement in community outreach programs throughout Jefferson Davis Parish. Working closely with organizations such as Council on Aging and Catholic Charities, she has built strong partnerships and dedicated countless hours to supporting local initiatives.

Deputy Sarvis developed an innovative strategy to streamline monthly meal box distributions at the parish multi-purpose building, significantly improving efficiency while reducing the time and manpower required. During the January 2026 winter storm, she went above and beyond her duties by providing clean clothing to those in need at the cold weather shelter, coordinating warm meal deliveries, and offering compassion and support to all who sought refuge. She also personally prepared breakfast for individuals utilizing the shelter and volunteers assisting with operations.
