Attorneys Tim Van Ronzelen and Josh Moore recently obtained a $250,000 settlement for a married couple injured due to a couch that was negligently dropped and left on Interstate 70. The couple were traveling at night when they suddenly came upon a couch in their lane of traffic. They swerved to avoid the couch and hit the median barrier. The case was brought against the driver who failed to properly secure the couch (and failed to promptly act to remove the hazard). Thankfully, our clients also had purchased underinsured motorist coverage to provide additional coverage for their injuries - as the other driver did not have adequate insurance.
