What do you need to know to get a document notarized?

You Will Need:
◾️The document(s) you need notarized
▪️Make sure the document(s) is/are complete.
▪️Do not sign your name until notary tells you to do so.

◾️Proof of your identity
▪️You may use a state-issued ID card, driver's license, passport, or another government-issued photo ID.
▪️Ensure the name on your ID matches the name on your document(s).

◾️All signers to be physically present
▪️Every individual who will sign the document(s) must bring a proper ID.

◾️To be aware and willing to sign
▪️Notaries will check you and each member of your party for willingness to sign the document(s) and that you are mentally aware and alert.
▪️If you, or anyone in your party, do not understand the details of your transaction, or if you are uncertain about signing the document(s), please resolve this before your appointment.

A notary public is an officer appointed by the Texas Secretary of State to attest to the authenticity of a person's signature, to administer oaths, and to witness acknowledgements. Notarization on a document certifies that the person named on it appeared before the notary, displayed valid identification, and was in the presence of the notary at the time of ex*****on. A notary public IS NOT a lawyer and can not provide you with legal advise.

❗️ Remember, your document should not be signed until you are present in front of the notary. A state issued picture ID is required. ❗️

Due to the current situation in our country due to COVID-19, we have had to make a few changes to how we operate.

We are currently doing notary by appointment only. We are available between 8 & 9 am and 4 & 5 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Please contact us here on this page, or through email at [email protected] so that we can make arrangements for your appointment. When you arrive, you’ll need a form of identification and the unsigned documents.

Have you tried to get something notarized recently? It's not as easy as it used to be! Did you know that most banks no longer offer notary services to their account holders? So even if you have an account there, unless it is bank related paperwork, they will not notarize anything for you. This is true for the courthouse and most insurance agencies too.

We here at Jasper Quality Notary Services are excited to offer you a solution to this problem! We strive to provide our community with a professional service with the convenience of being open regular business hours so that no appointment is necessary.

We are located within in Jasper Quality Meats, at 549 E Gibson St, in between Mobiloil Federal Credit Union and Sabine State Bank. We have two Notary Public’s available to assist you. Traveling services available by appointment only. All fees apply. Credit cards accepted.
