We were proud to attend the Companies with Heart luncheon hosted by the Jacksonville Business Journal at the historic Florida Theatre.

Our team showed up and showed out at the DONNA Marathon Weekend 💖🏃‍♀️

Several of our employees participated in the DONNA 5K, and a huge shoutout goes to Nicole Gouzos, one of our Accounting Clerks, who took it even further by completing the half marathon. An incredible accomplishment for an incredible cause.

We’re proud of our team for supporting breast cancer research and showing what commitment, teamwork and community look like beyond the office.

At Jimerson Birr, we believe strong teams are built through continued investment in our people.

Our team recently participated in a confidence and presence training led by our Learning & Development Manager, Bridget. Through thoughtful discussion and real vulnerability, team members explored how confidence is built, how doubt shows up, and how to stay grounded and present in challenging moments.

As our CEO shared afterward, the power of the session came from people stepping into the arena, showing up, risking judgment, and engaging honestly. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about trusting your system, your habits, and your ability to adapt when plans change. That kind of belief is built through work, reflection, and the courage to keep going, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Our complex litigation team took some time out of their day to celebrate Partner, Jessica Mazariego, with a GOOONNNGGG! in honor of her selection by the Florida Bar's Young Lawyers Division for the 36 Under 36 Professionalism Awards. This recognition is a testament to her grit and dedication to not only her clients, but her team, as well. Congratulations, Jessica!

Last week our team headed to Gainesville for the UF 1L Recruitment Event, where we had the chance to connect with first year law students and share more about what makes Jimerson Birr a great place to launch a legal career. TA hosted a booth throughout the event, giving students the opportunity to learn about our summer program, our culture, and the hands-on experience our young lawyers receive. We were also joined by Madison, our previous 1L Summer Associate, who helped give students a firsthand look at her experience with the firm.

One of the highlights of the day was watching Brandon, our Managing Partner, on the Litigation Panel. With nearly 80 students in the room, he shared thoughtful insights about our firm’s differentiators including our technology, structure, culture, summer program, and matter planning. He spoke about what it means to be an exceptional advocate by listening to clients, solving complex problems, and being a trusted ally.

Events like this remind us how important it is to invest in our legal community and support emerging talent. We enjoyed connecting with so many motivated students and look forward to welcoming future Gators into our summer program and beyond.

We wrapped up the week on a high note with a Wine & Cheese Tasting experience.

It was great to welcome back Nick Herbst, Sommelier and Director of Food & Beverage Outlets at TPC Sawgrass, who guided our team through a thoughtfully curated selection of wines and perfectly paired cheeses. From great conversation to even better pairings, it was the perfect way to slow down connect and enjoy time together.
