Industry-wide appraisal changes are coming!

Beginning November 2, 2026, a new appraisal format will be required for conventional loans sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. 🏡

What does that mean?
- More detailed property data
- Greater transparency in appraisal reports
- Clearer connections between property features and value conclusions
- A more consistent appraisal process across the industry

The mortgage industry is moving to a modernized appraisal format designed to make reports easier to understand and more data-driven.

With the updated reports, appraisers will connect their comments directly to specific property data, creating:

Eligibility is based on length and type of service. Most homebuyers will need a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), which confirms your VA loan entitlement. VA home loans are available to:
