🚧 Hopkins Road Closure Notice 🚧
The City of Krum would like to provide an update on the Hopkins Road Realignment Project near FM 1173. The project has reached a point where the new roadway alignment must be connected to the existing roadway. To complete this work, Hopkins Road will be closed to through traffic south of Victory Way beginning Monday, June 15, 2026, and is expected to reopen before the start of the school year on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Construction will occur in phases as shown in the attached exhibit.

During Phase I:
• Residents of The Retreat will continue to access their property from FM 1173.

• The residential properties north of The Retreat will access their properties from the north via Victory Way/Radecke Road.

During Phase II:
• Residents of The Retreat and the properties to the north will access FM 1173 through the newly aligned roadway while the remaining tie-in work is completed.

These closures are being coordinated closely with the Krum Fire Department and Krum Police Department to ensure continuity of emergency services throughout the construction period.

Please use caution in the area and follow all posted traffic control devices. We appreciate your patience as this important infrastructure project nears completion.

H-E-B Denton progress update! 🚧❤️ It’s been about two months since the last update, and you can definitely see the work moving along at the future H-E-B near Rayzor Ranch on University Drive. Right now, the expected opening timeline looks like fall 2027, so we still have a little wait — but Denton, it’s happening! I’ll keep bringing y’all updates as the progress continues. Not sponsored — just documenting what’s happening in Denton.

¡Actualización del progreso de H-E-B Denton! 🚧❤️ Ya pasaron como dos meses desde la última actualización, y ya se mira que el trabajo sigue avanzando en el futuro H-E-B cerca de Rayzor Ranch en University Drive. I look at this picture every year on Memorial Day and the older I get, the more deeply I feel it.

- The freedom to publicly preach Christ
- The children I'll laugh with today
- The vacation I will enjoy with Jana later this summer
- The life we've been blessed to build together
.. all enabled by young men and women who did not get to enjoy them, so that you and I could.

And they were YOUNG. Ronald Reagan put this in striking perspective:

“It is, in a way, an odd thing to honor those who died in defense of our country, in defense of us, in wars far away. The imagination plays a trick. We see these soldiers in our mind as old and wise. We see them as something like the Founding Fathers, grave and gray haired. But most of them were boys when they died, and they gave up two lives—the one they were living and the one they would have lived. When they died, they gave up their chance to be husbands and fathers and grandfathers. They gave up their chance to be revered old men. They gave up everything for our country, for us. And all we can do is remember.”

🚧 Road Closure Notice – Hopkins Road 🚧

The City of Krum has been notified by Denton County that the far north section of Hopkins Road, between Ganzer Road and FM 156, will be closed on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to allow the County to replace a cross culvert under the roadway. Access to Hopkins Road from Ganzer Road will not be impacted. The closure will occur north of the Ganzer Road intersection.

Please plan accordingly and use alternate routes during the closure.

We appreciate your patience while these infrastructure improvements are completed.
