This week I had the opportunity to step out of my usual role as a practicing attorney and into the classroom at BYU, where I taught a CLE to fellow lawyers on The AI-Powered Law Firm.
AI is changing the practice of law quickly. But for me, the most exciting part isn’t the technology itself. It’s what we can do with it for our clients.
At Wilkes & Mee, we’ve made a deliberate effort to stay at the forefront of emerging technology and find responsible ways to use AI to work smarter, analyze information more effectively, streamline our processes, and ultimately provide a better client experience.
Technology will never replace the judgment, advocacy, relationships, or human connection that good lawyers bring to their clients. But lawyers who learn how to use these tools well can become even better at what we do.
It was a privilege to share some of what we’ve learned with other attorneys at BYU Education week and to be part of the conversation about where our profession is headed.
