Spiller & Spiller is pleased to announce that both Reid Spiller and Mason Spiller have been elected as Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor recognizing their professional excellence and commitment to advancing justice in Texas. They now join their father, David, who was elected as a Fellow in 2017.

Election to the Fellows is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member of the State Bar of Texas. Nomination is based on outstanding contributions to the legal profession as well as a commitment to the community. Once nominees are selected, each nominee must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.

Fewer than one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to join the Fellows each year. Membership is a mark of distinction, reflecting outstanding contributions to the legal profession and dedication to community service.

As the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the United States, the Texas Bar Foundation has made incredible contributions to the legal landscape, donating over $30 million to nonprofit organizations that support justice-related initiatives and services throughout Texas.

Reid Spiller and Mason Spiller Selected 2025 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars

Spiller & Spiller is proud to announce that Reid Spiller and Mason Spiller have been selected as 2025 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars in General Civil Litigation and Plaintiff Civil Litigation. This distinguished recognition highlights attorneys who are 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less, and who have demonstrated significant professional achievement and peer recognition. Only a small fraction of attorneys in Texas receive the Rising Stars designation—representing the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state who meet the eligibility criteria.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.

Many courts across the country have postponed jury trials, and judges face learning curves with the technology for remote hearings, which slows down business and forces courts to prioritize criminal cases, child protection matters, domestic violence protective orders and other urgent cases.”
