New Greek Event Regulations Mandate BYOB, 15% Alcohol by Volume Maximum and ‘Good Standing’ for All Events

Cornell University continues to crack down on Greek Life and toughen rules around serving alcohol. These new requirements are further attempts to protect and prevent foreseeable consequences of excess drinking at fraternities and sororities. A unique one-year window for child s*x abuse victims to get justice opens this week in New York

The Child Victims Act goes into effect tomorrow.
Anyone who suffered s*xual abuse as a child will have a one year window to file lawsuits against their abusers starting Wednesday, August 14, 2019. The one-year reprieve for civil lawsuits applies to accusations of child s*xual abuse, including those that had been previously dismissed for being filed too late or for those who failed to file a notice of claim in time. Now is the time for victims to seek the justice they have deserved for so long. Follow the link for the full article.

They say justice delayed is justice denied, but a provision of a New York state law that goes into effect Wednesday will give child s*xual abuse victims a chance to defy that conventional wisdom.
