You’re almost at the finish line! 🎉 A final walk-through is the buyer’s last chance to walk through the home before closing to make sure everything is in the expected condition, agreed-upon repairs are complete, and nothing has changed since the inspection.

It’s one of the final steps before getting those keys! 🔑🏠

Your new house may have been cleaned for the listing photos—but there are plenty of places that get overlooked.

Before you unpack, take a little time to check these:

Dishwasher: Clean the filter at the bottom.
Washing machine: Run a cleaning cycle and check inside the rubber gasket.
Dryer: Check the vent and exterior flap for built-up lint.
Refrigerator: Replace the water filter if needed.
Garbage disposal: Clean underneath the splash guard where odors can hide.
Range hood: Remove and clean the grease filter.
Bathroom fans: Vacuum dust from the cover and blades.
Shower heads: Soak in white vinegar to remove buildup.
Carpets: Steam clean before moving furniture in.
Toilet seats: Consider replacing them for a truly fresh start.
