Today is my son Nathan’s birthday.

Birthdays look different when the person you love isn’t here to celebrate with you.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about him. Some days it’s a memory that makes me smile. Some days it’s a reminder of how much can change in an instant. Today is both.

As a mother, losing a child taught me lessons I never wanted to learn. One of them is that tomorrow is never promised. We spend so much of our lives planning for the future, assuming there will always be more time.

That’s part of why the work I do matters so much to me.

Financial planning isn’t really about money. It’s about people. It’s about making sure the people you love are cared for, protected, and supported no matter what life brings.

Today I’m celebrating Nathan, remembering his smile, and feeling grateful for every moment we were given.

Happy Birthday, Nathan. You are loved, missed, and thought about every single day. ❤️

Life insurance is one of those things people know they should probably have, but it’s easy to put off. There always seems to be something more immediate competing for your attention (and your budget). The reality is that many families are surprised to learn how affordable coverage can be, especially when compared to the things we spend money on every month without much thought.

At the end of the day, life insurance isn’t really about you. It’s about the people who would be left picking up the pieces if something unexpected happened. The goal isn’t to create wealth, it’s to create options, stability, and time when your family would need it most.

👇 Be honest: Do you currently have life insurance in place? If not, why?

Debt relief can feel like the answer when bills are piling up, but it comes with a cost. Depending on the route you take, your credit score could drop significantly. This article from CNBC breaks down what each option actually does to your credit and how long the damage lasts:

Something I think we’ve lost lately is the ability to sit with uncertainty without immediately reacting to it.

Every headline now feels urgent.
Every market move becomes breaking news.
Every election cycle suddenly turns money into an emotional conversation instead of a strategic one.

And honestly? That’s exhausting.

The people who tend to do best financially over time usually aren’t the ones making dramatic moves every few months. They’re the ones with clarity. A plan. Patience. Perspective.

Financial confidence doesn’t come from predicting the future perfectly; It comes from being prepared enough that the future doesn’t constantly throw you off course.

That’s the goal.

Not panic.
Not perfection.
Peace of mind.
