Good morning guys coming to you live here this morning with a topic that’s near and dear to my personal injury heart which is being courteous on the roads. There would be less accidents if we all did these small things to be courteous to one another as we drive.
Number one, let faster traffic pass. If someone is behind you even if they’re going higher than the speed limit or want to, you’re not the highway patrol. Just move over and let them pass.
On the converse end, if someone lets you pass, give them some flashers to thank them. It feels really good to hit your hazard lights for a couple beats. Say thank you to them.
Let folks merge in front of you. If someone wants to merge, traffic will flow more smoothly if you give them some space, if possible.
Use your headlights in a thoughtful way. Don’t leave your high beams on for a long time on those dark desert roads. If you see oncoming traffic dip those beams for them. It’ll make their life a lot easier and a lot smoother.
There are many examples of courtesy that we can all follow. Guarantee you there would be less accidents, less problems on the road, and courtesy is contagious. It feels good to help other people on the roadways. Let us know what you think in the comments about reducing accidents through courtesy. #RMDLaw #InjuryLawyer #AccidentAttorney
In California, if you are injured on public property, whether you’re walking on the street and trip on raised sidewalk, whether you’re at a public university and get hurt, or in a government building, whatever it may be... There are certain reporting requirements that you have to do in order to be able to successfully bring your claim against the entity. You have six months from the date that the injury or the loss occurred in order to present your claim to the government, or to whatever public entity that is. So it’s important to take action early on these cases; don’t sit around and don’t wait reach out to an attorney. They can definitely assist you. They can give you more advice and guidance on how to proceed so that you claim won’t be barred come to file. #rmdlaw #personalinjuryattorney #accidentlawyer
What is the absolute worst insurance you can buy for your car right now in California? Well, for me that’s an easy one. I think it’s Tesla insurance.
Tesla insurance is under investigation right now by the California Department of Insurance. We’re seeing crazy stuff, delays in responding to emails; a week, two weeks, a month, two months. We’re hounding them constantly. And their investigations are totally unfair. We’re seeing low offers all across board from the Tesla insurance; and they’re counting the money because they don’t want to deal with the long-term delays.
If Tesla insurance or any insurance company is giving you the run around recently, call RMD Law. You may have option that we can help you with. I’m personally happy to listen to your story and help you get what you paid for out of that policy. #rmdlaw #personalinjurylawyer #caraccidentlawyer
You think stop signs don’t effect e-bike riders? Think again.
In California e-bike riders are treated basically the same as drivers on the road. They have to stop at stop signs, follow the same rules of the road, and are basically treated exactly the same.
The big difference here, and somethings you need to realize are:
- They can also utilize the bike lane
- They don’t need to carry insurance or have a special license to ride
- And they drive pretty fast. They’re almost like motorcycles
So it is pretty alarming what they’re capable of doing and what kind of damages that they can cause. So when you’re out there, be careful and look out for them, and just realized that e-bike riders should follow the same rules as the drivers (but often don’t).

Injured at a friend’s or family member’s house? Here’s what you need to know.
This is one of the most common and emotionally difficult situations we hear from clients. Nobody wants to feel like they’re going after someone they love. But here’s the truth:
We don’t pursue individuals. We pursue insurance policies.
Yes, their name may be on the paperwork, but what we’re really doing is holding their insurance company accountable to do exactly what it’s supposed to do.
Think about it this way. If a family member accidentally backed into your car, you wouldn’t just shrug and pay out of pocket to fix it. You’d use their car insurance, right? That’s what it’s there for.
Your health is even more precious than your car. So if they have homeowner’s or renter’s insurance, why wouldn’t you use it?
Here’s another thing most people don’t realize: the majority of injury claims are resolved without ever going to court. It often doesn’t even come close to a lawsuit.
Open communication with your loved one goes a long way, and we’re here to help guide you through the process in the least stressful way possible.
Reach out today for a FREE consultation. We handle these cases all the time and we’re happy to talk it through with you. No pressure, no obligation. #rmdlaw #personalinjurylawyer #injuryattorney
In California, a warning sign does not automatically protect a property owner from liability. Property owners still have a legal duty to fix dangerous conditions, not just post a sign and ignore the risk. If a hazard was unsafe, poorly marked, or easy to miss, you may still have a valid premises liability claim. Every case depends on the facts. If you were injured, speak with an experienced attorney before assuming you are out of options. RMD Law can review your situation and explain your rights.

Not all personal injury lawyers are the same, and choosing the wrong one can cost you time, money, and results.
Before hiring an attorney, ask the right questions:
Do they actually handle your type of case?
How many years have they been practicing?
Have they taken cases to trial?
What percentage do they charge and does it increase?
Do you feel comfortable working with them?
These factors directly impact how your case is handled and how strong your outcome can be. At RMD Law, we handle cases from start to finish, including in-house litigation when needed.

Waymo self-driving cars are officially expanding into Orange County. While companies claim autonomous vehicles are safer than human drivers, real-world incidents show a different picture, including blocked roads, system shutdowns, and vehicles stopping unexpectedly in traffic.
There is also an insurance concern many riders do not realize. Waymo vehicles do not carry uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage. If another driver rear-ends a robotaxi, even when the Waymo is operating correctly, you could be left responsible for medical bills and losses.
Autonomous technology is still evolving, and the legal protections for passengers have not caught up. Understanding these risks matters before stepping into a self-driving car.
What are your thoughts on Waymo coming to Orange County?

Pedestrian accidents are some of the most severe crashes on California roads. When a vehicle weighing thousands of pounds strikes someone in a crosswalk, the injuries are often life changing. With cars getting heavier every year, we are seeing more serious harm to pedestrians and higher medical costs after these collisions.
What many people do not realize is that pedestrian injury claims are handled differently than car to car accidents. In many cases, the driver’s insurance can be held fully responsible. But if the driver has no insurance or only minimal coverage, your own auto policy may still protect you through uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, even though you were not driving at the time.
This is why carrying UM and UIM coverage is critical for anyone walking in California. If you are unsure whether your policy includes this protection, RMD Law will review your coverage at no cost and explain your options.
If you or someone you love has been hit in a crosswalk, our team is here to help you understand your rights and pursue the compensation you deserve. #RMDLaw

Dog bites can cause serious injuries and lasting trauma. Under California strict liability law, dog owners are responsible for bite injuries regardless of where or why the attack occurred.
After a dog bite, seek medical attention right away, collect information about the dog and owner, take photos, and request an animal control report. This report can be critical evidence in a dog bite injury claim. These cases are typically handled through homeowner or renter insurance, even when the bite happens in public.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a dog attack, contact RMD Law to understand your legal options and protect your rights. #RMDLaw

Speeding in California is being enforced more aggressively than ever. New CHP programs and recent California traffic laws can lead to automatic DMV license suspension reviews for drivers cited over 100 MPH, along with speed camera enforcement in construction zones. These changes are intended to protect public safety but can carry serious legal and financial consequences for drivers. Watch to understand how these laws work and join the conversation in the comments. #RMDLaw

If a driver hits you and refuses to share their insurance information, you still have options. Get their name, license plate, photos of their vehicle and license if possible, and call the police to help document the incident. Even without insurance details at the scene, an attorney can help track down the driver and their coverage. If this happens to you after a car accident in California, RMD Law is here to protect your rights and guide you every step of the way. #RMDLaw

Many drivers worry their insurance will skyrocket after a crash. Studies show premiums can jump more than 40% after an at-fault accident, which is about $1,200 a year for the average California driver. Here is the fact that most people do not know. Prop 103 prevents any premium increase if you were less than 50% at fault. That includes claims under your uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage. Your rate increase in that situation is zero.
Do not leave your own UM or UIM coverage unused. You paid for it to protect you when the other driver cannot. If you were injured in a California accident, RMD Law will guide you through every step and make sure the insurance company follows the law. #RMDLaw

Premises liability cases happen when someone is injured on unsafe property due to negligence. Common causes include uneven pavement, broken sidewalks, and dangerous walking conditions that lead to trip and fall and slip and fall injuries.
If your injury happened on city property, the legal deadline is much shorter, often just six months instead of two years.
At RMD Law, our California personal injury attorneys evaluate every detail of your case and explain your legal options at no cost. If you were hurt on someone else’s property, do not wait to protect your rights.

Insurance companies are for-profit businesses, and delays are one of their most common tactics. We see it every day. Clients submit every document requested and still face months of silence on their car accident claim or personal injury case. These delays are often meant to pressure you into settling for less. If your insurance company is stalling, denying, or refusing to respond, RMD Law steps in to protect your rights and fight for full compensation under California law.

Irvine is using new pedestrian safety robots called Daxbots to help reduce accidents across the city. These devices scan sidewalks and trails with LiDAR, GPS, and smart sensors to identify cracks, hazards, and ADA issues that put pedestrians at risk.
Safer walkways mean fewer trip and fall injuries, but accidents still happen. If you were hurt in a slip and fall or trip and fall on city property in California, RMD Law is here to protect your rights and help you pursue compensation. #RMDLaw

After a car accident, motorcycle crash, or e scooter collision in California, here are the most important steps to take.
1. Your first priority is getting to a safe place, out of the way of other vehicles.
2. Once you are out of danger, document everything you can. Take photos and videos, gather names, phone numbers, driver’s license details, and insurance information. Collecting this information early strengthens your injury claim and helps your attorney move quickly on your case.
3. When you are safe and ready, call RMD Law. Our California personal injury attorneys are here to protect your rights and fight for full compensation.

Motorcycle riders face unfair bias on California roads. Lane splitting is legal in California, but many drivers still do not understand the law, and that confusion can lead to serious motorcycle accidents. Even if a police report lists you at fault, you may still have a strong personal injury case.
California’s comparative negligence laws allow injured riders to recover compensation even if they share partial fault. At RMD Law, we fight for injured motorcyclists to recover maximum compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
Protect yourself by carrying uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, and if you have been injured in a motorcycle crash, contact RMD Law for a free consultation. #RMDLaw

If an insurance company makes you a settlement offer after a car accident, should you still call an attorney? The answer is almost always yes.
Insurance companies rarely tell you how much coverage the at-fault driver has, and quick offers are often meant to settle your claim for less than it’s worth. Before you accept, make sure you understand the full value of your injuries and losses.
At RMD Law, our California car accident attorneys review offers, identify all available insurance coverage, and fight for the maximum recovery you deserve. Your consultation is free, so get the answers before you sign anything. #RMDLaw

Slip and fall and trip and fall accidents are some of the most common personal injury claims in California. Property owners have a legal duty to keep their premises safe. When they fail to fix dangerous conditions like wet floors, uneven sidewalks, or broken stairs, they can be held liable for your injuries.
If you were hurt in a slip, trip, or fall accident, document the scene, get medical help, and contact RMD Law. Our experienced California premises liability lawyers fight to recover maximum compensation for your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. #RMDLaw

Worried your pre-existing injuries will hurt your personal injury case?
Don’t be.
At RMD Law, our California personal injury attorneys represent clients who had prior back, neck, or joint injuries before a car accident or slip and fall. Trying to hide those conditions from the insurance company is the biggest mistake you can make.
Under California law, you are entitled to compensation if an accident aggravates or worsens your pre-existing injuries. This is known as the eggshell plaintiff rule, and it ensures that negligent drivers and property owners are held accountable for the harm they cause.
Be honest about your medical history. Tell your doctors and your attorney, and let our team handle the rest. We know how to prove your injuries were made worse and fight to recover the maximum compensation for your pain, medical bills, and lost wages.
If you’ve been hurt in a California car accident and already had prior injuries, contact RMD Law today. We’ll protect your rights and make sure your story is told the right way. #RMDLaw

They crashed into you and don’t have insurance. What happens next?
You may still have a case.
If you were injured in a California car accident caused by an uninsured or underinsured driver, your own policy’s uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage (UM/UIM) may allow you to recover compensation for your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. It’s one of the most important coverages you can carry because it protects you when the at-fault driver cannot.
At RMD Law, our California personal injury attorneys handle car, truck, and motorcycle accident cases involving uninsured or underinsured motorists. We investigate your claim, review your policy, and fight to maximize your recovery.
If you were hit by a driver without insurance, don’t face the process alone. RMD Law will handle your claim and help you get the compensation you deserve. #RMDLaw

Did you know that during trial, attorneys are not allowed to mention insurance? Jurors never get to hear whether the defendant has insurance that will cover the verdict, even though there almost always is.
Here’s the truth: The insurance company is the one spending the money to defend the case, not the individual defendant. There are always insurance representatives sitting in the courtroom, and the defense lawyers are hired and paid by the insurance companies to help minimize the verdict.
But in trial, the defense will try to make jurors believe that awarding money to the injured person will destroy the defendant’s life. That is exactly what the insurance companies want, sympathy for the wrong person. In reality, it is the insurance company that is responsible for paying whatever verdict is rendered.
At RMD Law, we know how to expose these tactics and fight for the justice our clients deserve. Our experienced California personal injury attorneys handle car accidents, truck crashes, motorcycle accidents, and serious injury cases throughout the state.
If you have been injured in an accident, do not let the insurance company hide behind courtroom rules or mislead the jury. Contact RMD Law today for a free consultation and let us fight for your rights and the full compensation you deserve. #RMDLaw

Can you still recover compensation after a car accident or bicycle accident if you weren’t wearing a helmet or seat belt?
Yes, you absolutely can. Even if you’re found partially at fault, California law still allows you to recover damages for your injuries.
Insurance companies often try to reduce or deny valid personal injury claims by arguing you weren’t wearing a seat belt or helmet. Their goal is simple: to pay you less than your case is worth.
At RMD Law, our experienced California personal injury attorneys know how to fight back. We investigate your accident, challenge the insurance company’s tactics, and work to recover the maximum compensation for your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
If you’ve been injured in a car accident or bike accident in California, don’t face the insurance companies alone. RMD Law will fight for your rights and help you get the recovery you deserve. #RMDLaw

It’s coming down hard in Southern California, and rainy roads mean more car accidents. Here are a California personal injury lawyer’s top tips for driving safely in the rain:
1. Check your tires. Bald or worn tires are dangerous on wet pavement and can easily cause a car crash.
2. Slow down. Speed and rain do not mix. Slick roads reduce traction and stopping distance.
3. Avoid hydroplaning. If your car starts to slide, gently lift off the accelerator until your tires reconnect with the road.
4. Keep a safe distance. Give yourself extra space in case another driver loses control.
5. Turn off cruise control and driver assist systems. Even Teslas need human drivers in bad weather.
If you’re involved in a rain-related car accident in California, do not face the insurance company alone. Call RMD Law. We help injured drivers recover full compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. #RMDLaw

If you’ve been injured in a slip and fall or trip and fall accident, what you do next can make or break your personal injury case.
Here’s what to do:
Take photos of what caused your fall — especially if it’s something that can be cleaned up, like water or a spill.
File an incident report with the property owner or manager, and take a picture of that report too.
Look for security cameras that may have captured the fall, and ask to have the footage preserved.
These early steps are crucial to protecting your premises liability claim and maximizing your settlement value.
If you’re unsure where to start, RMD Law can help you gather evidence, prove negligence, and make sure nothing gets lost.

How much is my personal injury case worth? It depends on a lot of factors, but the answer usually comes down to three things:
Insurance limits — how much coverage the at-fault party had at the time of the incident.
Extent of injuries & damages — medical bills, lost wages, ongoing care, disability, and pain & suffering.
Your attorney’s skill — an experienced personal injury lawyer will gather evidence, value damages correctly, and negotiate (or litigate) to maximize recovery.
Every case is unique. At RMD Law we work on contingency, so you pay no attorney fees unless we win your case, and we offer a 100% free consultation to review your policy limits, injuries, and options and help estimate what your case may be worth. Call RMD Law today to get started.

If you ride Uber or Lyft, beware! Thanks to their lobbyists, your financial safety net was just slashed from $1 million to $60K.
Uber and Lyft lobbied heavily for two new bills— Senate Bill 371 and Assembly Bill 1340— and the result is a serious hit to consumer protections.
Bottom line: if you’re injured in an Uber or Lyft accident, you used to have $1 million in coverage against the motorist that injured you. No more. Now, the coverage is just $60k per person.
What does this mean for you? It’s now more important than ever to protect yourself. Riders should carry Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage in their own auto insurance policy.
UM coverage pays if you’re hit by a driver with no insurance.
UIM coverage kicks in when the at-fault driver’s insurance isn’t enough to cover your medical bills, lost wages, or pain and suffering.
Having your own UM/UIM coverage ensures you’re not left holding the bag if you are injured in an Uber or Lyft accident.
At RMD Law, our rideshare accident lawyers can review your coverage for free and explain how these new laws could impact you. Don’t wait until after an accident — call us today and let’s make sure you’re protected. #RMDLaw #ridesharelawyer #personalinjuryattorney
