We are proud to share an exciting new chapter in our firm’s history.

Finch Law, P.C. is now Finch & Gunville, P.C., under the ownership of Emily J. Gunville.

This transition is especially significant to me personally. Years ago, Nancy planted the seed that encouraged me to pursue becoming an attorney. She later invited me to join her practice with the hope that one day I would continue the firm she built. This past week, that vision has truly come full circle. I am deeply grateful for her mentorship, trust, and unwavering support throughout the years.

While our name has evolved, our commitment remains the same — to provide trusted, high-quality legal representation with integrity, professionalism, and a strong focus on family law and general practice.

Nancy B. Finch will continue her association with the firm as Of Counsel, ensuring continuity and the continued benefit of her experience.

We are deeply grateful for the trust our clients and community have placed in this firm over the years. Nancy built this practice on integrity, compassion, and strong advocacy, and it is both an honor and a privilege to carry that legacy forward. 🚨AWARENESS POST🚨

Starting April 2nd there are some changes to Michigan’s car seat laws:

Changes include —

— Infant to 2 years: A child must be in a rear-facing car seat until they reach the maximum weight or height allowed by the car seat’s manufacturer or the child is 2 years old.

— Two to 5 years: The child can move into a forward-facing car seat until they reach the maximum weight or height allowed by the car seat’s manufacturer or the child is 5 years old.

— Five to 8 years: The child can then move to a belt-positioning booster seat using a lap and shoulder belt until they are 4 feet, 9 inches or 8 years old.

— All children younger than 13 years: Children younger than 13 must ride in the rear seat of a vehicle if the vehicle has one available.
