The Navy is currently accepting applications for the Navy JAG Corps Student Program and Direct Appointment Program. The deadline to apply to these programs is February 13, 2015.

The Navy JAG Corps' Student Program is the most common way to become a Navy JAG Corps officer. Law students apply to the program online and interview with Navy JAG officers at a naval base. Selected students commission in the inactive Navy Reserve while attending law school.

The Navy JAG Corps' Direct Appointment Program enables licensed attorneys to be appointed directly into the Navy JAG Corps.

The Navy is also accepting applications for the Navy JAG Corps Summer Internship Program. The deadline for that program is January 5, 2015. The Summer Internship Program is a great way for 1L and 2L students to gain legal experience and learn more about opportunities available in the Navy JAG Corps. Many interns have become commissioned officers in the Navy JAG Corps.

An informational page for Navy programs is attached below and additional details can be found the Navy website at http://jag.navy.mil/careers_/careers/opportunities_overview.html. Your assistance disseminating these opportunities to your students is greatly appreciated.
