Having completed his B.A. in English from California State University, San Bernardino, Mr. Palencia started his legal education at Michigan State University, College of Law. In his first year as a law student, Mr. Palencia was placed in the highly-rigorous Intellectual Property legal research and writing program, where he performed meritoriously. Palencia participated in various legal societies including the Latino Law Society and the Intellectual Law Society. Prior to his graduation, Mr. Palencia worked at Michigan State University, College of Law’s immigration clinic where he helped low-income immigrants secure legal immigration status in the legal areas of unaccompanied minors, U-Visas, Adjustment of Status, admissibility issues, and Cuban nationals’ naturalization. Palencia continues to develop and safeguard his Coachella Valley roots by providing pro bono legal work for non-profit companies that focus in betting the lives of members of the Coachella Valley community.
