Mario A. Palencia, Esq. is the principal and founder of the Law Office of Mario A. Palencia. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts. His law firm engages in both transactions and litigation related to business, immigration law, family law, bankruptcy law, tort and workers’ compensation law, and estate planning. A proud son of the Coachella Valley, Mr. Palencia started his American education at James Madison elementary in Indio, California when he first immigrated to the Unites States from Mexico. Thereafter, Mr. Palencia further developed vigorous and humble bonds with the Coachella Valley as he succeeded through the Valley’s public school system. While pursuing his higher education part-time after graduating High School, Mr. Palencia worked in the accounting, real estate, and insurance industry gaining valuable experience in these areas. Having completed his B.A. in English from California State University, San Bernardino, Mr. Palencia started his legal education at Michigan State University, College of Law. In his first year as a law student, Mr. Palencia was placed in the highly-rigorous Intellectual Property legal research and writing program, where he performed meritoriously. Thereafter, Mr. Palencia participated in various legal societies including the Latino Law Society and the Intellectual Law Society. Prior to his graduation, Mr. Palencia worked at Michigan State University, College of Law’s immigration clinic where he helped low-income immigrants secure legal immigration status in the legal areas of unaccompanied minors, U-Visas, Adjustment of Status, admissibility issues, and Cuban nationals’ naturalization. Mr. Palencia continues to develop and safeguard his Coachella Valley roots by providing pro bono legal work for non-profit companies that focus in betting the lives of members of the Coachella Valley community.
